FAQ

Understanding GOOD GAME!

Who is your solution designed for?

GOOD GAME! supports federations, leagues, clubs, and institutions, including sport betting operators and media rights holders, responsible for the integrity and performance of competitions. We work with organizations that need objective analysis and decision-grade evidence to strengthen governance, reduce risk and protect the value of their competitions.

Has your methodology been scientifically validated?

Yes. Our methodologies, REF-EVAL® and MATCH-FIX®, are built on peer-reviewed scientific research in biomechanics, performance analysis, and integrity science developed over more than a decade, and supported with published studies. They have been applied across elite competitions in football, tennis, and other sports, and continue to be refined through active work with federations and research partners.

By removing subjectivity and applying consistent standards across all matches, we deliver highly accurate and reproducible results,  a scientific foundation that organizations can trust for critical decisions.

How do you handle confidentiality and data protection?

Every engagement operates under strict confidentiality agreements, with data handling aligned to GDPR and the requirements of our regulated organizations. Findings, footage, and performance data are accessible only to authorized personnel within your organization and ours. For integrity investigations, we maintain the evidentiary standards required for legal and disciplinary proceedings.

What makes your approach different from traditional sports monitoring systems?

Traditional systems rely on betting market signals, outcome review, or subjective expert assessment. GOOD GAME! analyzes what actually happens on the field using video-based biomechanical analysis of player and referee performance. This approach delivers objective, reproducible, data-driven insights, independent of betting activity built on methodology that combines deep human expertise with a growing layer of advanced computer vision. The result is a level of precision and consistency that traditional, outcome-based systems cannot achieve.

What value does GOOD GAME! bring to an organization?

We turn performance into clear, objective evidence. This enables organizations to reduce risk, strengthen governance, support referee development, and make confident, data-driven decisions — protecting both the integrity and long-term value of their competitions. Whether the priority is officiating excellence, competition integrity, or both, we enable decisions based on facts , not assumptions.

Our solutions

Does MATCH-FIX® work without betting data?

Yes. and this is one of its key strengths. MATCH-FIX®  operates entirely independently of betting markets. It analyzes player behavior and performance directly from video, detecting patterns that traditional betting-based systems cannot indentify — including manipulation in matches with no betting activity. This makes it particularly relevant for competitions that conventional integrity monitoring systems cannot cover.

Does ref eval replace var?

No. VAR is a real-time officiating tool designed to correct clear and obvious errors during a match. REF-EVAL® goes further by providing objective analysis of referee decisions both in real time and post-match, using video-based biomechanical analysis and structured evaluation protocols.

While VAR relies primarily on human judgment, REF-EVAL®  combines technology, biomechanics, and expert analysis to deliver a higher level of accuracy, consistency, and objectivity. Used together, they strengthen both decision validation during the game and long-term referee performance development.

How is MATCH-FIX® used in investigations and legal proceedings?

MATCH-FIX® provides structured, evidence-based analysis that supports internal investigations, disciplinary actions, and legal cases. Our findings meet evidentiary standards and can be used by federations, law enforcement, and judicial authorities, including expert support when required.

What does REF-EVAL® measure?

REF-EVAL analyzes every refereeing decision — including non-whistled events — to provide a complete and objective view of performance. Using video analysis, biomechanics, and structured evaluation protocols, it generates detailed performance profiles that federations use to train, assess, and develop referees, while ensuring consistency and transparency across competitions.
