The only way for players to influence match results is to underplay deliberately. Our approach, based on biomechanics only, allows to determine wheter deficiencies are normal or abnormal to detect potential match-fixing.

The GOOD GAME! method and software system, through video analysis, uses multifactorial investigation of technical and tactical actions of sport stakeholders to identify the suspicious ones during sport competitions.

This method, developed with the benefit of almost 15 year of experience of performance data analysis, can detect match manipulation with a probability over 99%.

MATCH-FIX

The reference method of match monitoring to detect potential manipulation

MATCH-FIX software system provides match analysis through the identification and the sequencing of key phases of game plays called “key points”. The players’ performances within these key points are analyzed to detect potential anomalies in the game play (so called “deficiencies”).

The MATCH-FIX method relies on physical laws, biomechanics and physiology models to precisely differentiate involuntary errors (“normal deficiency”), occurring in all matches, from intentional underperformances characterized by one or several deliberate actions of the players (“abnormal deficiency”).

MATCH-FIX Level 1

Live detection of any player manipulation and status provided at the end of the match between “Normal‚, “Suspicious” or “Manipulated”.

MATCH-FIX Level 2

Detection and classification of deficiencies to identify which player(s) is/are “Involved”, “Potentially involved” or “Not involved” in the manipulation for opening an investigation.
Provided within 24 hours after the end of the match.

MATCH-FIX Level 3

Unique expert report including all scientific evidence demonstrating the manipulation with detailed metrics for sport or civil court when a match is “fixed”.
Provided within 21 days minimum after the match.

var-assist

Live analysis of VAR decisions providing objective elements to support referees’ VAR decisions

The VAR-ASSIST system uses a multifactorial analysis of players and referees’ performances to provide referee with feedback on VAR decisions. It allows them to address potentially complex or contentious situations with objective elements.

  • <60 seconds for all VAR decisions
  • Video signal and web connection
  • Remote Live coverage available for all championships
  • 100% independent service (no extra equipment in the stadium)
  • >99% correct answers

VAR-ASSIST level 1

Live analysis of all VAR decisions
1 min max for all VAR situations with >99% accuracy rate

VAR-ASSIST level 2

Live analysis of all referees’ decisions

VAR-ASSIST Level 3

Detailed analysis of all IRDs’ (Incorrect Referee Decisions) provided within 2 days after the match

ref-eval

The first tool able to measure and score referees’ decisions

The REF-EVAL method is able to identify what is called IRD (Incorrect Referee Decision) and is today the most advanced tool to evaluate referees.

An IRD (Incorrect Referee Decision) is an incorrect judgement of the referee.

There are high IRD, referee mistakes that have an impact on the score (a goal cancelled, a penalty turned down…)

There are low IRD, referee mistakes that have not a direct impact on the score.

The REF-EVAL method leverages complex algorithms from artificial intelligence to accurately distinguish the unintentional IRD occurring in all football matches from intentional IRD to identify potential match-fixing related to referees.

Benefits

REF-EVAL, a referee decisions analysis method that allows to:

  • Keep control on the refereeing: understand how the club is refereed, evaluate the referee performance in front of a team, knowing that using this checking tool is the best guaranty for an optimal arbitration.
  • Protect sport stakeholders: be able to defend a player in case of disciplinary committee or a team in case of technical reserve.
  • Behave in front of the media: be able to discuss refereeing with indisputable elements.

Services

  1. Live analysis of all key decisions and feedback sent in less than 120s in case of Incorrect Referee’s decision (IRD) high.
  2.  Full technical report within maximum 24h after the end of each match with the analysis of all referee decisions (from 80 to 140 by match on average)
  3.  Access to an optional service providing scientific analysis in case of disciplinary committee or technical reserve.

training

Integrity Officers, Judges, and Police Services training to new detection methods

GOOD GAME! closely cooperates with justice, police & investigation services all over the world.
Moreover, GOOD GAME! trains prosecutors and judges to its match-fixing method.

We also help leagues and federations to structure their integrity unit and governance.
